He had a great time. Lurking Fear through bears at the base, afternoon thunderstorms and hard climbing. He's a very happy person right now.
Massive congratulations!!!
EDIT: I should add that he's still in the Valley, having a rest day. He said that a full trip report will follow.

That is HUGE! I was getting a little worried after hearing of some rockfall in that area. Congrats Munge!!!

Sweet, massive congrats!

Yeah, I heard about the rockfall too. I asked if they'd taken canned beans...

the rock slide was massive and only about 700' from us. I got pics of part of the dust blow. slightly wiggy.

Hey Munge,
Awesome work and congrats- can't wait to see photos. I can only assume I contributed greatly to your success by climbing with you in the valley last month...
Good job my friend.

Have to give Mungie a ribbing since he's been talking about it for some time.
Congrats! That off-sets the one check that qualified you as a sport climber...

That had to be fairly trippy, all that coming down while you were up there.
Did you have some weather while on the wall?

way trippy stuff. it helped to still have to haul the pitch ya know? physically just work out the freakyness.
the weather happened same day/just a little after the rock fall when we were trying for thxgiving the sky started spitting, up we went, then down, up, set up the ledge then fixed the pitch then it started coming down more serious for several hours. weird that evening was the best sleep I had the whole time on the wall. this was the good ledge at the base of the corners just above the ned's mantle pitch. hung the porta ledge off the crack on the right wall. pretty sheltered really. the good bolt looked like it was in the middle of the run off from the corner if it got running. after reading nanook's trip report I wasn't real psyched about sleeping in the run off.
