Title: OMG, Death Ride in 40 Days!!!

A fellow road diva will not be able to make it, so she very kindly offered her spot on our mailing list. Mud and I were on our way home from our mountain biking ride at Annadel. When I read the email on my iPhone, I jokingly said to him, “maybe I’ll ride the Death Ride this year,” and he replied not so jokingly, “I think you should.”   After one round of email exchange, the spot is mine.

I've not even done a century yet. Now that I think about it, maybe I'll keep it that way and enter the Ride as one of the few who come to Death Ride without having done a century.  ;D 

Okay, where is my chocolate cake? I need to start carbo loading right away.

It's a fun ride, mudworm, you'll like it...

I just rode Part of Ebbetts yesterday and saw lots of bikers training, Was going to ride today but decided to some skiing.  Let me know if you will be training up there.  The camp where you stayed before is a good place to start training rides.  Also most of of the campgrounds are open and have water so that is not a problem.  It has been raining up there for the last week or so and I the mt bike trails below the snow level are in good shape.   US

Thanks Uncle Stinky! It's good to know a local.  :) Our next three weekends are booked (mtb and climbing, etc.). So if any riding up there, it'll be the last weekend in June. But then, I'm almost tempted to do mountain biking there. I think I have progressed since my last time riding there (two years ago), so I should be able to enjoy trail riding there more this time. I'll let you know when it gets close.

Great time!! 
A couple of riding buddies this year and it sounded like the weather held out.  Also good looking t shirts.  Hope you had fun now it's time for the mountain bike.

We went for a short MTB ride on Alpine Loop the next day. So, there!  ;D
