Shut up! While you are talking about doing something worthwhile this weekend, I am stuck working graveyard shift in SLO dealing with drunken, rioting college pukes out of control during the epitome of SIN, Mardi Gras. Whoever invented Mardi Gras needs to be friggin' locked up for life.

Hey Jody, these are for you....

I spent a couple days down in Big Sur last weekend.  I even found some climbing, but mainly your average Big Sur scenery and locals hanging out...

Thanks! Beautiful shots like that remind me why I work at the sorry job I have...it finances what I do on my days off.

That sunset one is perfect. The rays on the sun are cool. Digital?

BTW, is Condor #3 kind of the equivalent of Bear #46 in the Valley?

Pinns West Side with K and T along. Camping in the Los Padres NF Saturday night? I want to finish the topos to the Flumes this weekend (they're well along, but need more fine tuning). I also need to check out that bolted maybe toprope you  found, and another toprope with bolted anchors on the face between the NE wall and the walkoff (called "Yo Mama Doesn't Live in that Cave"). I know Jennifer is good for one day, can you commit for sure to one? The girls would love to see you. ALSO, JODY, what days do you have off? I'm going to SLO with my family and a couple who went to school there and learned to climb in the early 70's. We usually climb a weekend day, but then me and my family are going to camp near and climb West Side Pinnacles for 3 days or so before moving on to  the Beach/Boardwalk and family stuff. This will be the second weekend of April and the following week. Could you join us for a day or two?

Hey Jody,

Yep, both are digital. The sunset was funny because my fiancee took just about the same picture with her point 'n shoot camera. Meanwhile I'm busting out the tripod, metering and what not. "Honey how does this picture look?" That's nice, but I'm busy.

The condors were a riot because they were on this super steep cliff. People were watching them through binoculars, "Oh, it's great to see them so close". My response was, they are just as curious of us, and will hang out to check us out. Maybe hoping one of us falls off the cliff and then it's SUPPER TIME!

Okay, now back to Pinnacles stuff.

Brad, it looks like I will possibly be hitting the West side on Thursday or Friday(March 2-3) with a friend from the bay area. Where are you camping there, Arroyo Seco?

I'll come down Saturday. Weather on Sunday is calling for rain. If the weather changes or looks feasible, i'll go down Sunday also.

I think the computer went down before I had a chance to relabel the pics for the gb.  So I'll label those, and reburn them.

Also, I'm not so sure you have the topos for West Side and High Peaks stuff I was working on. I can't remember if I dropped those by the house in Sept or not. I'll bring those as well.

Jody: I could take off the 3rd to join you. I won't be camping that weekend, but this coming weekend and during that week in April. And yes, I'm going to try Arroyo Seco. If we link up on the third would you guys be willing to do guidebook research? I'd love to do Jim's 3 pitch 5.7 Fishbreath Arete. I helped put it up but only on the first pitch, and I'd like to climb it to get the description right.
