To while away the wet weather...

Name your top 3 climbs at Pinnacles...

Gutter is tripe.

Nexus is superb, but still has a lot of moss because no one does it.

Feeding Frenzy?  really?

oh, and rat is excellent- roof crack that looks totally grim, but turns out to be easy!  come on!

Rat is 25 feet of slab followed by a casual roof.  I give the roof credit since it has some loose holds.  If slab was vert it wold be the best route there.  Ordeal is better since it has two cruxes.

Mr Mud you're nuts. I personally watched you remove your body's weight worth of rocks from the second pitch of Feeding Frenzy when you led it. Then I removed just as much rock when I led it while you belayed. When we had both led it there seemed to be just as much loose rock as beforehand. My favorite 3 at Pinns: 1. the one I'm on or about to do; 2. the one Mr Mud is leading: dead serious- never gonna give up- breathing like a locomotive-goddamitt I'm not gonna fall style; 3. the one I just found with Uber, munge or Mr Mud - one that exists but isn't known -just like an FA, without most of the labor

Don't know if I'm qualified to answer this question, since I never get a chance to lead anything GOOD at the Pinns. I seem to always be following people to the most remote, piles o'choss and helping them put in bolts.

However, Babies on the Ceiling is definitely a 4 star classic.

not the three best, but three that stand out to me:

portent -          first  climb ever.  second degree toe burns.  august.

stupendous man -  did all the easy classics on my first day climbing.. portent, swallows, the runout 6 on monolith, the sporty 8 on mono, wet kiss, etc.  finished the day with stup.  had no falls or hangs all day.  climbed with blisters on my toes.  i think throwing that heel hook and mantling is what made me a climber.  i was stoked to pull that move.  but i pumped out on the thin 5.9 and hung.  pussy.

costanoan -    first lead ever, rapping power tools that day was first rap

ever.  ropes got stuck. bill in  a cast with a broken wrist and leading back up to get the ropes, i couldnt take slack.  scared.

Trauma: come on the name says it all. Without the owls.

Fourplay: can you de-pump before the true crux?

Saint Valintines Day Massacare: For the view.
