anyone going tomorrow? want to carpool and get beat down by pinns routes?
looking for mileage and endurance work out, so happy to belay on harder stuff if you need to redpoint projects.
-
maybe
-
Wow, such a decisive and commiting answer factor.
We (all of us) are going tomorrow to Planite Granite, Belmont for the girls' finals competition for the climbing team. So, I can't join you and probably will just be a parent/belay slave all day.

must check with the better half.

Yep that's a typical F4 response. Like a burp.

Mucci, ring me if you can go. Noots is in.

I'm heading down and you know where to find me.
Afterward I will be heading to Joe's for the party.
-
And I'm not planning on punting myself like I did last weekend...

I am planning to head down Saturday. Shoulder is a bit better may do a little climbing.
Atomizer, about what time will you be on Ranger Bolts? I may head over that way and try and get some pics with the new camera.
-
We will hopefully leave Santa Cruz at 8 and be climbing by around 10. I can't imagine getting on the proj before 11.
-
Excellent - day o sending!
Atomizer if I don't see you around Ranger B (maybe get a TR burn for me on the lower part?) definitely see you at Joe's.
cheers,
M
ps - Mud, carpool?
-
Me??
-
I am up for carpooling.
Who all is going? Munge an Factor?
The three of us in my rig can work.
I would not mind trying a spin no RB. Perhaps Atmonizer can put up a TR when he is done.
Not sure how the shoulder will do, it could be interesting.

I may be climbing on the East side, putting in new route, but a 3 hour drive each way is a long time with a 8 year old.
-
just do it
-
8:40 PM wont be leaving till midnight
-
ugh mud, sorry to hear that.
Uncle Stinky, want to mix up some free and new routing? see ya down there

good seeing you guys. I have other pics of the sequence but they didn't come out that well. How did the 10/10 and 11/11 go?
-
Just back from Joe's house now and what a day it was. I needed a break from the monotony of Ranger Bolts so we hatched another plan on the drive down. Mark Seelos and I succeeded in climbing ten 5.10's and eleven 5.11's in one day in the Bear Gulch area. All climbs were done free by both of us with no falls. One person lead and the other followed on toprope. Car to car in 8:30. Here is the order. Tereanean Tango, POD, Foreplay, Hawaiian Noises, Richnaks, Feed the beast, Cantaloupe Death, Bad Bolts, Rocket in My Pocket, Autocream, Black Dagger, Pearl Sheath, Deadpoint, Powerpoint, Stupendous Man, Verdict, Broken Arrow, Cosmos, Denied, Pickpocket, Angstroms Away. One of the best days of climbing ever. Pinnacles is so underrated, where else in California can you find so many classic climbs in such close proximity.
Where was everyone else? We saw Munge flying solo and looking a little confused with where the crew was.

very cool!- lots of good climbing-
-
Holy sheep dip! That is quite the day. beats my best by a fair bit.
I ended up working till midnight on Friday then getting up and taking care of work on and off. With a login this morning to take care of a few things
Hopefully I can get out next weekend.
-
yeah, just a couple teams down on Disco. The mon was pretty quiet all in all. Good day for your guy's efforts. Congrats! I wonder if it's a first? Post up on the taco, or I don't mind posting up an OP on it.
12/12s next weekend? make a list. Maybe get a real photog person down there.
-
21 pitches in a day at Pins I have done, but they were not that hard. I have done 11 11's but not 11 11's and 10 10's.
Just to cool
taco doesn't count since it isn't a climbing site :)

I think Mark was going to post up something on the Super Taco sometime soon about our day. We took pictures of all the climbs. I think the main highlight was the number of stars we amassed, 42 Stars according to Brad's Book. With more time and more knowledge of certain routes we probably could have gotten 50 stars.
I cant imagine doing 12 12's at this point. I've got a lot of work cut our for me, with actually doing all the routes before that linkup. Joe and i were talking last night about how sequential a lot of Pinnacles routes are and how some routes can feel easy one day and hard the next day due to many factors. So it would be a tricky day. I guess this would be the list:
Cataract, Tailspin, Penguin Handshake, Trial, Tarantula, Vigilante, The Druid, 40 Days of rain, Future Shock, Hard as a rock, Yo Mama, Gorillas in the Moss.
Now that would be a proud day of climbing. I'm not sure if this is possible by me, but maybe a few years down the line once I have done all these routes, it might be accomplished.

The trip report of Punter Sunday is now up at the Super Taqueria.
