Gov. Jerry Brown's administration is planning to close these 70 California state parks, beaches, recreation areas and historic places under a budget proposal expected Monday. The list is still a proposal, and wouldn't take effect until approved by the state Legislature as part of California's budget process this summer.

Sad day. Russian gulch employed locals part time....so now there will be more unemployed people. So much we for job creation.

Closing Henry Coe sucks.  Mostly staffed by volunteers. 

If they close them we should still be allowed to use them.

It's all a political bluff to draw attention to the budget gap.
