Ah, finally a day off from the relentless heat, sun and climbing. After 5 straight days of climbing with more warmth and sun today I was too tired to climb any more. So we headed to my sister in law's house for showers and rest.
Birthday party tomorrow and then home. No leads harder than 5.11a at Josh, but many, many starred routes. I understand there were 36 hours straight up north with no rain?

I do not think that we made it 36 hours without rain.

Aided first pitch of Son of Dawn Wall. Started to rain, so didn't do second. After Bratton cleaned, it stopped raining. Led Twinkle Toes and then Gary and Phylis. Started to rain again. Stopped by the time we walking back to car.

ski'd all day saturday
drove home most of day Sunday
it was dumping up there- they expected 1' to 1.5' of snow on Sunday.

Went out to the Astrodomes while we were down there. Big line for Figures on a Landscape. Perfect temps in the shade. We did other routes, but saw a Canadian climber take two serious whips (35' sideways!) on the first pitch. Intimidating.
