What are you thinking of over there?

Nothing firm yet.

Two newbie leaders and four non-leaders, so trying to find a good mix for all.  It's always a good day no matter how much or little climbing gets done.

Kicking around Corona, Big Bad West, Walk the Plank, Passion Play...and anything else that looks/sounds good.

Lucky 13?

Lucky 13?

They don't come much more protected than that, huh??  Wow - it's going on my list, but a 5.9 is a little much for me right now.  Totally fine on 5.10's on TR but it will be a bit before leading 'em.  First and only lead was Sinbad, 5.6.  Very sweet and only a little terrifying.   ;)

CruxLuv, it looks like you have a fair crew of climbers already for Sunday... But I'd be happy to meet up with you if you all are interested in following 5.9s or 5.10s at the Flumes, or anywhere else.

If not, send me a message for climbing on another day. Since I work and live at the Pinns I can usually make most any day of climbing fit in my schedule!

I might be in the neighborhood and will stop by if there's somebody who might have time to spare.

Roger that, Gavin and backatcha.

Waldo - that would be great!  We're meeting at Passion Play at about 9:30ish.

Waldo, I may head down Sunday.  My lack of planning is catching up to me. Trying for a bouldering session tomorrow at Columbia.

140 baby what's an extra few minutes (give or take a few more)

I'm planning on fixing to Awanhnee Ledge on Leaning Tower. I've got two 3day weekends in a row coming up, so I'm hoping i'll be able to knock out Wet Denim either next weekend or the weekend after.

Something tells me, when I'm freezing by myself in the shade tomorrow, I'll wish I was at the Pinns in the relative heat and company.

Every Pinnacles trip is at least a equal story.

Freezing your ass off on solid granite versus climbing on the bouncing betty minefield of the West Side? Both are equally horrible.

Kev, would offer to help you Sunday, but I think a drive to the Valley after tomorrow's Jamestown will be too much hombre. Positive vibes your way.

Probalby not. Seems weird to drive back that same direction.  So probably pinns.

Thanks for the offer man. I ended up moving at a much better pace than I intended ( especially during a 15' fall woohoo!) and was able to get up there and fix to ahwanee ledge today. I'm driving back to the bay now, part of me wants to hit the Pinns but most of me is admitting that my body is feeling worked and exhausted right now.

But if anyone wants to knock out West Face or WDD this week, you can skip the first 4 pitches if you've done them in the past. I'm considering leaving them fixed after next weekend for one more week so I can go up and bag West Face the weekend after next.

Anywhoo, back on topic now.

Yep it's the shoulder. Sadly, it's the beverage shoulder/hand side.

Trash talking on the forum.  I feel life is good.

With the exception to the the injury to the drinking arm.

Westie face is fun. I took a nice 15' or so on the 4th pitch. I had fun, but work up Squiddo from his nap.

Duuuuuude I did too! I was making a move off of an offset cam placement right below the first bolt on the pitch and heard a "pop" I swear I hung in the air for a second before plummeting to the sound of my own voice going "arrrhghhgghgarragha!!!!"

Good times though. Was my first real soloaid lead fall on rope instead of just being caught on the daisy, so at least now I know my systems will work at least once.

that was an easy spot...

I poped a blue alien much higher up. nothing but air and I loved it.

Yeah, get off them daisys, I was lucky and had removed the daisy from the lower piece and was dorking around with an aider that was caught on my foot, when "pop". I ended up putting a hook in and moving past it like it was nothing.

Hmmm, from what I remember, everything after that point was just bolts with a few easy hooks. You know, easy spots...
