Dreaming. I would LOVE to do something like that before I get too old.
I couldn't even tell you when I caught the bug, but I've been obsessed with tails of thru hikers for almost a year. Addicted to trailjournals.com and followed a really good blog of a gal and her cousin who just finished the whole thing.
I'd like to figure out a good intro hike/camping place to also do some trail magic next year.
Have you heard about the young guy with cancer who was stuck in WA for a few days for treatment before getting back on trail? http://hikingthepacificcrest.wordpress.com/ (http://hikingthepacificcrest.wordpress.com/)
Very cool how strangers rallied to help him try to complete his goal. Less than 200 miles to go!
You and the girls are an inspiration too. Heck...if that little cutie can do it...although I suspect she's way tougher than me in many ways! ;D

I was hanging at Corbett's earlier this year. He gave me a autographed copy of that book and FULL story.
SO crazy how he got it all together and then fired!
C said that Wellman was tough as nails, and he also said the experience changed his life in many ways.
I would be happy to loan the book out, but it is worth the purchase.

Wow that acent brings back fuzzy memories. We cimbed snake dike while he was up there. We started in the dark and finished in the dark, so we didn't get to see him.
I remember being on top and my buddy standing toes @ the edge w/ a pack on, looked over.... "nope, can't see shit."
