Getting closer. Had a goal over the weekend that I would be able to come home from work on Monday and sit on the couch. Well, we got the living room painted even though I set us back a half day by using the wrong paint for the first coat. I also got part of a retaining wall built so we can get past my car when it is in the carport. Managed to tend the Weekend by sitting on the couch and eating Ice Cream and while watching the T.V. May have gone to bed past Midnight but we did it.

My, my, how our goals change as we age...
-
what type of paint did you use at first?
sounds productive, really.
-
The paint for the trim, white high gloss. It is now flat pixie dust.
-
ah, primer layer
-
That was my response.
Baseboards, paint trim, assemble/setup the rest of the furnature and the the living room is done.
Light at the end of the tunnel....

the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train...
-
Oncoming or outgoing train?
I'm afraid it's the latter... when I'm on the project. I changed my mind about the color of one wall (yes, after having just painted two coats one day ago). Wanted some contrast on this offset/accent wall, but there was very little. Decided to be bold and just brought three color samples home. At least, I told Mr. Mud, the new color would be a mudncrud color. He is bummed about having to repaint the wall, but is otherwise accommodating. My craziness.

I almost drove up to your guys' place Sunday after bouldering just to see how the remodelling is going.
-
well you managed to dodge picking up a paint brush.
Although there was a hidden stash of beer.
-
You know I used to paint with the caustic stuff you have to wear a respirator for?
-
did some of that, stickly amature stuff on my side.
-
Mungie....your advice is 20yrs too late.
-
there's no advice given in this thread, just hints that if he needed a hand can be bribed to paint with belays at pins. Just sayin.
-
belays offered even if anchors are sketch.
