I am guessing after the small amount of rain that fell that it should be alright to climb at Pinns on Sunday 2-2, am I correct on this assumption?
-
might be sketchy but if the sun it out you should be ok.

We were there today and fire danger is still extreme. The in park rain gauge showed .05 inches from the rain this past week. NWS says 40% chance of showers for tomorrow.

First Post!
Planning on going out on Sunday Dec 7th..... Is it ok to climb that soon after the rain? Looks like there will be a day of sun in between the rain ending on Friday. I'm stoked to go to the Pinns to climb for the first time. (I've been there once but just sightseeing on the west side) Any info helps.... except yer gonna die.
Thanks
Kelley

Welcome to the forum. Some folks will be on the West Side on Sunday so you might be able to find someone to climb with. The routes are definitely more fragile when damp. Two days of Sun for hard routes. Easier routes pick you lines and tread lightly.

Killer K, welcome.
If the road surface has dried, the rock that is east and south facing is climbable. The mossy stuff will be a soaked sponge for days.
-
Yo Killa,
I'm happy to help if I know what grade yer lookin' for.
No idea what time we'll be in the parking lot.
Some of the snarky jackwagons on here call us the Sleeping Inn crowd.
-
Really, really wet down here, and it's started raining again. The moss is positively dripping, water streaks are streaking and the streams are running.
Will we get in any climbing this weekend? Maybe only Sunday?

You can always lead the great Machete Arch.
It should be dry.

Real men use pink battery operated blow dryers to dry holds. Mine is charging.

Not to put words in your mouth, but your tomorrow is going to be about giving careful blow jo....
Never mind.
I'm confused.

Speaking of what I put in my mouth, is it gross that I let Aaron share my blow tube?

Gross. Definitely.
-
I agree, you should only blow your own tube.
