Brad, I've been in Red Rocks for the last week and intend to stay into next week. We should hook up! You should come have dinner over at David Allfrey's house at some point.

Adam,

I should use your normal cell number?

Use the normal cell number.
Its been really nice here but it decided to rain today and tomorrow so Sunday is probably the soonest Red Rocks can be climbed.

Wrong State, old and senile, call out a rescue.
Title: Re: Sunday?
Post by: Brad Young on February 28, 2014, 01:09:43 PM
Crux, you'd so love Red Rocks; it has masses and masses of climbs that are perfect for you. And with that "orange bustiere" that you ordered you'd have a good time in the city while you were there too.

Clink, do you really think you're old and senile already? You haven't even hit 50 yet. Well, anyway, what kind of rescue do you want/need?

Knifeblades swapped for Lost Arrows (I think the best pitons are Lost Arrows).

And it's spelled pins trader.

It's seriously sogggin' in the Pinns - in-park rain gauge shows 1.73 inches since the first storm hit - .73 for that round and another inch since 11:30 last night!

Brad you should do this one:

http://www.mountainproject.com/v/resolution-arete/105732416

Did it last week and it was mostly 5.8.
Title: Re: Sunday?
Post by: mynameismud on March 01, 2014, 11:18:46 AM
it is a fun route. Did it years back, full day of adventure.  We got fairly parched.

Post by: Atomizer on March 01, 2014, 11:48:55 AM
We simuled it in 4:15.
Then descended and climbed back up Dogma.
Classic old school adventure to well bolted sport made for an interesting day.

Post by: mynameismud on March 01, 2014, 11:51:57 AM
We were not that fast but did quite a bit of simul.  We did get held up for a bit by some goats.

Damn, I'd love to do Resolution. It's still on the list.
4hrs is fast.

Inti Watani (sp?) looks fun as well.

Dreary, drizzly day on the east side. Gave some suggestions to the only other people in the parking lot - some first timers. They actually climbed a bit at Tourist Trap(talked with them again for a bit on the way out). Small world - John from Sonora. Sauntered on to the Sisters where I had hoped to do some refurbishing and maybe a couple onsights - but it was a soggy mess. Did some scrambling and scouting. Decided to hike Condor Gulch and did some more scouting. PO is leafing out everywhere and there is a huge bush totally blocking the waterfall route. Got to see Gavin and Alacia for a few at the overlook - then we headed down while they headed up. Just a few minutes after turning onto 25 it was pouring.

First time I stopped at the west side visitor center.

It was not bad timing on my part; it was just Munge being naughty.

Balcony in the rain.

Best salsa is found here.

A shrimp in (with) the beer?

I actually meant to write: It was not Munge being naughty; it was just bad timing on my part. No idea how the words rearranged themselves.

Well, here is Munge being naughty.

I take my picture posing shot lessons from the Mucci School of Performance Art. It's a method based school. You really have to get into the part.

I have a ton of great pics but am lame and can't figure out how to post them.  Used to know how...

Kudos to Mucci for getting things done today.

I'm still surprised that Twenty Percent dumped on us like that.

It didn't stop raining at my house till 1 in the afternoon.

I confess to taking Rachel to the gym. I tried to climb routes at angles and hold types similar to what we've been on at Pinns. If you use your imagination and pretend half the holds flex and that you must not fall, and the lingering smells of mice and bat urine are present, then you may achieve a near outdoor, indoor experience.

The smell of rodent urine is almost pleasant compared to the over-ripe gym climber on occasion.

You are all the masters of slime who went today, cheers!

Adam,

Bill's been trying to talk me into doing a route to the summit of Mount Wilson. He likes the idea of Resolution Arete (the 5.10c A0 version though, not all free). I like the idea of doing Lady Wilson's Cleavage (the route, the route...).

This trip we could see the whole walk-off for Mount Wilson from the top of Eagle Wall (what an awesome, awesome view and walk off from the top of there, but that's another subject). Maybe next year...
