Beginning of Spring…a few photos from Coe on one of my standard routes…
Stray cattle near Willson Camp:

Idea for a Coe Outing; hold a Dude Ranch and the equestrians can round these guys up.
A trail runner passed me on Wagon Road (I'm slow):

I met him later at Pacheco Camp so it was a long run. Shortly after the runner left—heading up Coit Ridge Trail!—a bike camper/fisherman arrived. He started from HQ on Friday and spent the night at Mississippi Lake. Covered with soot, he came via the Mississippi Ridge Trail and had been bush-whacking through the burnt Chamise (from the 2007 fire). Ha, we all looked that riding Coe after the fire.
Word around the campfire is that Jay moved to Mexico so I went up to the Willson Field Hill Radio Tower to check the geocache logbook for any parting remarks. On Crest Road I found this swell sparkplug wrench and put it in a safe place:

Turned out it belonged to theses guys:

(https://icons.duckduckgo.com/i/www.ccc.ca.gov.ico) California Conservation Corp brushing White Tank Spring Road. They happily recited the CCC motto in unison for me, "Hard work, low pay, miserable conditions, and more!" I told them where to find their sparkplug wrench, they were very interested in retrieving it.
The water pipe to Pacheco Camp had recently been broken by a fallen Pine disrupting water service to the camp. After repairing the pipe, the water pressure was too much for this fire-hose fitting:

I rode Pacheco Ridge out to Laural Trail and returned on the Pacheco Creek Trail. The grass is spouting and the many watercrossing were 2 - 3 inches deep. Just a few flowers right now. Parsnip, I believe:

Yet again, my return trip was delayed by a couple of fallen trees on Live Oak Spring Trail. Dead Pine Trail would be a more accurate name. A couple Before-And-Afters:

That last one wasn't cleared as neatly as I wanted. It was getting late and the situation was a bit sketch; the tree had lawn-darted it's self into the soil and the impaled tip was all that was holding it up. Well, it was cleaned-up enough to get by...
Grizzly Gulch Trail always gets like this after the rains:
