There are several threads which have pictures of collected trash in them. I thought it would be a good idea to create a thread specifically for trash collection pictures. Post 'em if you got 'em.

Bruce, nice job. Replacing suspect bolts, picking up loads of litter, a great example of climbers as stewards of the Park.
I find litter every trip. Does Pinnacles have more littering going on compared to other Parks/wilderness?
-
I found an empty box of wine and used contraceptives up the balconies a few years ago. I suppose if you've had that much wine the thought of a tick in your private parts isn't much of a worry. One of the more unfortunate pieces of litter I've ever come across.
:puke:

Yeah, barf.
I guess though, on the upside, it's good that people that litter like that aren't reproducing.

Nice thread Bruce.
The only thing I would worry about is making sure we are in keeping with NPS guidance on 'old trash' that might involve the antiquities act.
The Facelift has some instructions for Yosemite, maybe we can use that here too?
-
Oysters?? WTF? "Hey I need to stop in moss landing at phils fish shack before we go to the park...., do you mind?"
The BEST thing I ever found was a CF memory card that I put in Mr Mud's jacket.
That his sister found later on that night. That kept his mom up all night.
"Is there something you want to tell us?"
Makes me want to plant some new items to see who finds them.

Oysters, wine, and contraceptives. Water for hydration. Safe except the possibility of getting Lyme disease.
This establishment was close to where we parked in Victoria, Aug. 2013.
-
New suspect on the Oysters.....Dodrill!
He lives up near Tomales Bay...
Maybe that's his secret.
I think I'll bring an Abalone shell....

Trash from Clint's and my sojourn up to the Sew What Needles on 2/24/15

Hey that's where that football went!
Hey Mr Mud are those your boxers??

No lace.

Stuff from several trips up the Chalone Peak Trail when we were going up to the Hanging Valley and Kasperek's Ridge.

-
Too much litter Bruce. Thanks to you and everyone who keep picking up after the litterbugs!
-
It's a new year, but most of this trash has been there for a while. We picked almost all of it up on the Chalone Peak Trail from the reservoir to the turnoff to the Yaks near The Driver.
This is where it all begins.....

This is the result.......

BTW, the rusty can in the photo is a very old beer can which needed a can opener(AKA church key) to open it. It is probably 50-60 years old. Way before Bud Light Lime!
-
Thanks Bruce.
-
Thank You!

Tossing the photos from the 2015 Pinnacles Climber's Appreciation Day trash cleanup into this thread. Thanks to Aaron, Dina, Cynthia and Tim.
Cynthia and Dina go down there and pick that up! Now!

Trying to pick up anything we spotted within reason.

Here's all the other trash with an alarming amount of toilet paper.

Less trash next year?!?
-
Nice, Bruce. I should have taken photos of all the junk we removed form Bear Gulch Cave. There is some weird stuff that ends up in the pools below the trail railings, including iPods, metal water bottles, expensive sunglasses, etc.
-
I would really like to do some GPS coordinates and analyze the trash distribution pattern.
-
iPods
Sweet, that would make my day..
-
Trash picked up by Clint and me around the trail by the Balconies and Tilting Terrace. Gotta love the diaper! That is so wrong!

we need a sign for the stupid people along the trail every 3 meters.
"Don't leave your baby diapers in the park"
oh, wait, I did that wrong
"Don't leave your baby diapers in the park, you asshat."
fixed

I could say something but I''ll hold my tongue.

I could say something but I''ll hold my tongue.
that's not cryptic at all. and if you hold your tongue, that's kinda gross, unless you wash your hands first.

Especially after changing diapers.

This isn't cryptic.
Look at what some knucklehead left at Tourist Trap!

Some nimrod left an empty plastic water bottle jammed between the blocks at the front of the dam. Classy.

What is that red roll at the bottom right of the undie/teepee pic?
-
Ah I get it...Mungie moved to the sierrasS
That explains the not being any BBL cans.
Unless he has switched to Modelo/Tecate.
But that can’t be....
