I don't know about that.

Pinnacles rock is a great equalizer. A 5.13 climber (like Croft) can fall on 5.8 at Pinns due to broken rock (the same can happen on granite too, but it's much less likely).

Croft is bold and strong, but not dumb. I don't know that he would have soloed that much at Pinns if he'd climbed there.

(And no aspersions intended toward our own Mr. Mud who, in his past, has soloed at Pinns a lot. But he seemed then to have a guardian angel of his own to look after him.)

 Poor overworked guardian angel. Probably got an early 20 year retirement deal for doing a dangerous and high stress job. The new one who started a couple years ago takes coffee breaks and check it's messages too much.
