Just heard about this one:
PINNACLES NATIONAL PARK —CalFire is fighting a 10-acre wildfire that ignited at 11 a.m. Tuesday on the east side of Pinnacles National Park near a visitors center.
No structures were threatened and the blaze was 100 percent contained at 12:45 p.m.
Firefighters determined the blaze was caused by a CalTrans crew that was mowing brush in the area.

That and the PO is a good argument to introduce goats - although I am sure there are those that will argue it's a baaaaaaad idea. :)

The burn was right across the road from the Pinnacles Visitor Center / campground store on the east side. Pretty fortunate that the weather was cool and folks in the Visitor Center spotted the fire right away... It could have been a lot worse!
