And looking for a +1?
-
Likely that quite a few crudders will be on the west side starting around 8:30.
Still waiting to hear back from a few for more details.
-
I will be driving down. Most likely early. I plan on working on new routes. My current plan is the east side.
-
Sounds good, I'll stand by for details!
West side allows me to wake up at a civilized hour and still serve breakfast...

I would, but I need to catch up on sleep.

We had a fun yesterday and got to see and hang out with a lot of friends.
Amber did her first lead on Corona.
I was especially impressed that she was then willing to lead Stretch Seven after I took a run up it.
She went on to lead Masters of Mischief and Where the Sun Don't Shine.
mj followed WtSDS and led through up Bolt Bandit.
KC and I met them on top to enjoy the view. We could see Scott and his friend on top of Middle Tower after a successful ascent of Machete Direct. We ended the day with a free solo of The Lamb and libation in the parking lot
Early in the day beanolar led Twinkle Toes and thoroughly enjoyed it.
waldo joined in the fun for part of the day.
Gavin, Alacia and a friend (sorry - her name escapes me) were on the Balconies and Flumes.
Cheryl did her first lead on Big Bad West on the way out.
It's pretty cool to see the excitement on the faces of these new leaders :)
Here is Amber carefully moving past bolt 4 on Stretch Seven.

Nice shot!

Gavin and I got in two more lead bolts today. That makes 11, and the next bolts will be the anchor. And, actually, I should say that Gavin got both bolts in. I climbed 40 feet and then realized that I'd better not continue. So I belayed, coughed, and spit up chunks. All in all a productive day.
-
nice work!
maybe the route name should be Phlegm Spittle instead of Full Circle :)

Spit up? Are you 6 months old?

Of pitch 1? How is the next section looking?

So pitch one will end on a set of huge loadstones (beautiful things) about 90 feet up. Above them is a headwall that looks to be about 91 degrees (steep) and as holdless as Pinns rock gets. Unless it looks a lot different than what we've been able to see (from as high as we've been and from the ground with and without binoculars) we don't think we'll be able to climb it.

Thanks all for letting me join you for the day!
Here's a compiled shot of waldo leading the first pitch of twinkle toes traverse.
