Looking for/a Master(s) of Mud.
I'll be in the area through the holidays. Available weekends.
Also on the lookout for a sweet van or truck camper to convert into a permanent residence. ;D
-
I will most likely be out Sunday, we are mid point on a route that is close to being done.
After that I am thinking about a possibility on Chaos Crag. I have looked at that line to long.

I claim the MFA.
-
Hey Kyle, bring your camera if you can. There are some great photo opportunities. For reals.

MFA?

MFA?
He's mental :)

Kyle, get on Mud's rig. Might be some steeps there for the asking on decent stone.
Tis the season for Pinnmud

There is some steep stuff but two are water streaks and wet. There is one face that could go and looks kind of cool but at the moment is beyond me. I have temporarily left that area since it is looking like it will be open after the closures go into effect. I have a current short project and a hold broke. We took the "easiest" "5.7" and after a hold broke it has gotten harder. Have not tried again but it will be iffy for me now. I am sure I can get it if I work it enough. There is some other stuff out there that is a bit steeper and probably better. Everyone is welcome but you know how it is. "There all mine!" lol
-
The proper terminology is "Claimed"
sheesh, do you even know the standards? ;)
-
NO, They Are MINE! ALLL MMMMIIIINNNNEEEEEEE, MIINNNNEEEEEE!
>:D

Munge's visits are so rare that we are going to need a red carpet to roll out.
-
Might we roll it down something steep?

And soft brush the holds, stock up on the BLLM.
Love Ya Man!
-
wow, red carpet 'treatment'? Is that in the DSM IV? ;)
Really would like to get down there. Mud is sending dirty pics to me to entice me.

Pink lace, baby, pink lace.
-
omg, pink HANGERS!!! My advice is clearly required on this effort. "We will double our efforts!"
-
"We shall double our efforts" because the Emperor is showing up, when? The ante gets upped.
What's with the add for "The #1 tip for flattening your belly." Was that clip targeting a certain age group?
Yo, da tickets for a family Star Wars Christmas day downtown are purchased with reserved seating.
Martha asks me as I'm typing this "What are your plans for after Christmas?"
I reply, Climb as much and work as little as I can for the next ten years.
Dream on dreamer.

Clear cache and cookies on that computer, the ads will change. Lol
Dream the good dream!

Crushing maƱana rain or shine.
Might be the last weekend for me to climb at the Pinnacles for quite some time.
Gotta get my fix of choss.
-
we will be on the east side hiking up to the High Peaks. You are welcome to join. Reply here or PM if you are interested.

Keep eyes on the balconies. Fingers crossed I'll be climbing up there. Damn near my favorite place on earth, so far.
Stoke matters gentleman. Keep crushing.

High Peaks was still very damp when we got there. We dropped or packs and went and did some exploring. We returned about 4 hours later wet and hungry but had a fair bit of fun. The current project was still way to wet since it did not receive any Sun, so we started another. So far very good rock and some good moves. We got in 3 bolts just before dark. We were both a bit surprised to see another car in the parking lot when we got down.
We found a route for Brad, but he has to bring a bottle of wine and some cheese. Seriously, kidding but not, it will be worth it.
Hope everyone is having fun out there. Was nice but a bit chill. At home now and it is pouring down rain.
I was a bit late meeting Noal at the designated spot because the road was blocked at the bottom of the hill. Some guy had totaled his 2 day old Lotus. Was a very shiny black. Thankfully he was ok. Well, he was not physically hurt.
-
West Side was wet too. I didn't even bother taking my rock shoes and left them in the car.
Alex cruised Mission Impossible despite it being a bit damp. It was nice to do that route again.
Mostly cruised around and took some gear for a hike, picked up trash and managed to find some bushwhacking.
-
Excited other mudders were out on Sunday too! The wet rock and healthy moss added an extra layer of adventure ;D
managed to find some bushwhacking.
Wasn't that bad. I didn't find any holes in my clothes, twigs in my hair, or ticks hitching a ride :'(

Here is a shot of Humping Lizards. It roughly follows the ridge that goes from the lower left of the picture to the top center (mostly along the formation's left skyline). The name was not my idea but I liked it.

Doesn't it go from the lower left of the picture to the top center (mostly along the formation's left skyline)?

Oops. yes that is correct. Edited to include your changes.
Thank you!

How did this thought form?

Mud gives approval with a disclaimer.
I will not give a detailed explanation of what I see but you might want to call it Down Moby.
-
This is the view that inspired the name. Look closely and you can see Mr Mud in profile belaying on the lower "step"(just right of the tree branches) and nelkins is drilling on top. nelkins ran it out from Mr Mud to the top

I slung a knob about half way. I'm sure there are plenty more similar options. What's fun is to climb along the edge of the ridge towards the top. Kind of like a mini West Ridge of Conness.
