Nobody's in Sonora. Twain Harte. It's higher, cooler, prettier and better. Damn BAPs can't get anything straight.

Close enough.

You said it. :)

Beautiful weekend on granite at some elevation. Great to see everyone!!!!

Close enough.
Yeah, it probably is. Next time you're up, find somewhere in Sonora to stay. It'll be hotter and you'll need to drive up to join us. But close enough. :o :o
Here's a few shots from the weekend (so far):

JC eyes are focused on delectable delights in proximity of the island counter, he is contemplating another run at it. Joel looks normal.
The lasagna(s) was yum, so were the fixings the night before.

Does my beard make my forehead look bigger? ::) :o

My glasses definitely do. ; )

Three new routes went up on Herring Creek Dome yesterday! Munge, Clink, Ms. Munge and J.C. and K.C. should post about their two.
Around the corner we put up a 110 foot route called Exfoliation Freaks (5.8 *). It get's steeper until it's 5.7 and then there is a well protected crux overhang (the route is much steeper than it looks below me, and thanks to John or Kathy for the photo). Appropriate name, huh:

F4, would you mind if an administrator moved this to the "Everywhere Else" section (where it probably belongs)?
-
Then we can call it "in the office" ?
-
Hmm, but he was at the Pinnacles.
I don't mind.

Pinnacles is all Mr MUDs this weekend.
In our defense - KC and I were at Pinns for a half day Friday getting a new route started before we hit the road to the batholith.
She needed a break today or we might have finished that route today on the way home.
I can post some stuff tomorrow.
As far as moving the thread - I think since it started out referencing Pinns and Mr Mud - it's okay to stay in the Pinns arena.
I can post a pic of some tasty crud along with the other compositionally equivalent intrusive blasphemy tomorrow.

loaded a couple pics up to the midhwy pics thread and posted details for Brad on the new routes thread...

A mix of Mud and "it" climbing this past weekend.
Kat and I got a new route going before we hit the road.
I tried to get up off the ramp but it was pushing me out with nothing reliable to sling - so I tiptoed the first bolt.

Moving up I realized that bolt 2 would need to go in sooner than I would have liked to keep off the ramp in a fall, so I hung off a knob and got bolt 2 in - my first bolt drilled not from stance.

By the time I finished bolt 2 it was time to hit the road.
Two days later we had some big fun climbing and establishing a couple routes with munge, cheez and clink
Since these routes were not in Pinns I cannot post pictures or discuss them further :frown2: :arf:
Mostly what I thought about while we were away was getting back to Pinns to work on the new route some more
I can't wait to find out what it is going to take to finish it and how it will climb - the rock is amazing!

Cool stuff
