One of you people should buy it and install a super sound system to entertain the Park. I would suggest Joe's playlist. :)
During the closures mating and hatching friendly music could be played. Wild boar(caught circling the Park) pit barbecues! Lead free bullets of course. A snack concession stand that serves burgers, tacos and alcohol minutes from the Gargoyle! With lunch specials such as the Gavin, an aged to perfection lamb burger over miner's lettuce, sprinkled with crumbled brie and a side of sauteed local shrooms, dripping with flavor to make any condor doing a fly-by drool. :D
Put in a landing strip and Mud could fly in from Washington for an afternoon session.
Waldo could swing by occasionally for an afternoon beer and we could use it for the M.O.M. weekend!!!

I totally agree clink. Pig roasts would be nice and benefit the environment. Plus add a man bike track.
I'd be curious if there are swatches of land near by that would be cheaper. I feel like the thought is 20-30 yrs late as now there is a water supply.

F4, you're probably right. Silicon Valley dollars have crept away from the peninsula and even south county to reach, not just the hills above Morgan Hill, but San Benito ranch price increases and the so-called "Park" designation has drawn money to the Salinas region.

Maybe I could get my winery owner friend to buy it. I did not see how many acres are producing grapes. I could talk him into using the house one a month, he could rent it out the rest of time. His company already owns a couple in my area but they use it for events. Maybe he would friends of mine camp on the land. Wishful thinking.
