Life

Here is something to hopefully cheer you up.

Hanging on knobs to drill bolt 3 on Pebbles last Sunday. One more bolt and an anchor and I'll start Bam Bam  :yesnod:

End of the day yesterday after restoring Rumbling Rampart. The replacement bolts are so good that I am going to have to go lead this again. I just have to clip those suckers  :yesnod:

Funny line I heard in a show this morning.

My God - the view from your ego must be breathtaking!

After a few months of testing the results seem to be in.
- Six kidney stones, three in each kidney the largest being 5mm.  Drink lots of water with lemon juice.
- Three masses in the right lobe of my liver the largest being about 1.5" in diameter the other two are fairly small.  These appear to be benign but will be monitored.  Recommendation that I quit drinking which I did earlier this year ( June 5th )
- Scattered bilateral growths in lungs.  These are of concern but not cancerous at the moment but will be monitored.
- A bit of plaque build up in main heart arteries.  To be monitored, need to improve diet ( working on that ).

So at the moment fairly healthy.  Blood pressure is good, resting heart rate of 50 is good, cholesterol a bit high but within limits.  Recommendation of exercise three times a week.  So far holding good.

Here's to sweat in you eye

every day is a gift

glad that things are not worse.

have the stones passed already? sonic treatment?

lung spots sound ominous. biopsy'd already?

Stones are typically a wait and see issue.  First see if they will pass naturally.  Lungs will be checked in six months.  May not be an issue only time will tell.  From now on when I get beat on the bike I will blame it on my shitty lungs.

copy that.

maybe I got spots too! Because my lungs are total shit. #weezy  :)

phew, what a relief!  good job on your sobriety.  it's been about a year since I quit and I feel much better.  hope you do too.  just don't get back in that ultra sonic water tank for the stones. yikes!

I do feel better and I lost close to 10 lbs after about 2 months or so.  There have been a few moments where I was sorely tempted.

That's a lot of "junk" inside and it seems near-miraculous that it's all basically benign.

And BTW, you didn't have 10 pounds to lose!

Jeez man, good to hear you are okay.

Keep up with the biking and veggies!

You need to get back drinking that Pinnacles water....it'll clean you out!

Glad you are "fairly healthy". How did the docs find the plaque buildup in your arteries?

Maybe it was the pinnacles water that gave you the stones.

If it were me, it would show something resembling a BB rolling around in a boxcar...

Yeah, having worked for medical device companies for over 30 years it is inevitable that discussions of diseases that can be imaged come up more often than in other occupations.  With that much going on the probability seemed low. Three masses in the right lobe of my liver and they are benign, it was a nice surprise.

We need to celebrate! I have wine which at a glass at a time is supposed to be good for you.

Now my story...

Years ago when I had my hernia, they were trying every which way to say it was not one.
One idea was a CT scan....
A day after the CT scan I get a call, "we discovered something with your kidney's, it does not explain your (hernia) pain. You need to see a Urologist ASAP".

I walk into the Urologist's office, he takes one look at the CT scan, "oh, happy X-mas, hope yours is good. Your kidney? Well looks like you had surgery on it and they adjusted your plumbing out of the kidney. So physiologically, it's odd. but surgically speaking, you are fine."
This was the easiest appointment of his day I bet. It took less than 2minutes.

Jackasses!

wtf? Someone opened you up and rewired your kidney plumbing and you didn't know about it?

Yup. I was 5-6? when the procedure was done. I had no clue what it was...until I called Dad and he reminded me.
