Title: Pinns Season Finally Upon us
Post by: mungeclimber on November 13, 2006, 02:40:32 PM
Well, it's raining full on now. I have to accept the fact that I may not be climbing above 4k this weekend.

What's everyone doing?  West Side or East Side or High Peaks?

Prefer to do something that is closed later in season.

Balconies?

I'm running a 10k on Saturday morning and getting drunk at Twisters in the afternoon/night. I do need to climb more so that all you weakmos won't show me up every time...  :)

There's this valley of Granite not too far from here. Pretty cool. I'm planning on going there this weekend. Weather permitting and if Squiddo can get some time.

Might be time for the Pinns, but Ubber and I have a major project at the Eastern Front.

Watch out what you ask for. Next thing you know  you'll be belaying the Feral Rat on some "classic".

that thing isn't just classic.

it will change your experience of the climbing universe

I'm not worthy to even be around that climb it is that good.

First there is a cleansing bath I have to take... in mud baked from pinnacles rock.

Second a priest from the order of Pinnacles Mud Love must perform a holy right with Baileys and Old E

Third the word "meow" must be spoken 3 times aloud just out of site from the climb.

I believer there are other sacred rituals that are associated with the process, but I'm still learning them.

This better not be an alter boy thing is all I know. ahahahahaha

I bet you folks would pay big bucks for a mud bath with Pinnacles mud. My bro says it's the potassium (sp?) in the rock.

Little does Mr. Mud know, but I've found his project and rapped down it placing a bolt every 6ft.

excellent Pinky!  Now all we need to take over the world is to reverse the polarity of all climbing gear making it impossible to climb by clipping bolts thereby making climbers go insane and running amuck in the cities and suburbs.

when the masses are at their knees, we'll demand a ransom and all the cams we can use.

I curse the bolting but then again it saves my wrist wear n tear.  So your just have to go through a cleansing ritual.  You will enjoy it trust me.

On another note.  I am a bad leader for my flock.  I sinned today while driving into work.  This "fellow" would not let me merge into traffic so I provided him with a one finger salute.  This got him very irate he turned and cursed me.  As I pulled out into the carpool lane and passed him he rolled down his window and saluted me.  I figured since he was saluting a superior officer I needed to salute him in return so he could put his hand down.  Mudworm thinks that I am backslding.  I feel bad and ashamed.  I am a wicked man.

Behold, the grave of a wicked man,

And near it, a stern spirit.

There came a drooping maid with violets,

But the spirit grasped her arm.

"No flowers for him," he said.

The maid wept:

"Ah, I loved him."

But the spirit, grim and frowning:

"No flowers for him."

Now, this is it --

If the spirit was just,

Why did the maid weep?

backsliding to what?

my question is always 'could I get out of my car and have a rational conversation about the merits of our disagreement over driving etiquette and law?

the answer always seems to be "no" for either sides ability to talk it out or come to some educated understanding so I blow it off most of the time.

why is that people that are stupid deliberately so get the irritation level up?  is the urge to control other people that great?  fek dunno.

Most times when I salute someone I am not all that upset.  Just letting them know , that I think they are being unreasonable.  That salute, however, really seems to set some people off.
