Title: OMG it's the Cook's at ORG
Post by: JC w KC redux on March 31, 2018, 05:09:01 PM
Got back yesterday from a few days on the east side. Taking a break today and then Pinns tamale.
Detoured to Owens River Gorge with Jim and The Kid on Tuesday while it was too windy to climb in the Hills.

Bit of a butt shot and the orange hasn't been uncovered yet (because it was shady and cold in this corner) but it was my first lead in ORG. Now you can all quit bugging me!

Phylanthropy 5.6**

Here's a couple from a really fun 5.7 we did called Finked *** in my book.

Higher up on Finked - this was a nice long climb and really fun with lots of cool holes and edges

Tried to get together with Dave in the Hills but he was busy. Still didn't get on Giblets.  :nonod:

My favorite route this trip was Have a Slabulous Day 8** even though the wind was about to rip me off the face a couple times. Luckily it calmed down after that route and was much better the rest of the day and again on Thursday.

Have a Slabulous Day was one of the best slab routes I've done in the Hills. The other memorable one is Ghost Dance.

Up a ways on Have a Slabulous Day

Up on Earthday Dome again Thursday - Every Day is Earthday 9** - Not as good as Have a Slabulous Day but still worthwhile and a cool summit.

Nothing like the desert wind to make climbing interesting. It also gives you that fabulous wind-blown hair look  ;)
