Two big fires are active east of the Park. Fifteen miles or so? Smoke clouds are above 6,000' and anvil-shaped. Winds look like they're blowing in a good direction.
-
yikes.

Good thing they were not flatiron shaped That would have been a bad omen.

Even worse, they could have been orange.

For the anvil look, on JC's 60th we can sport orange party hats on our foreheads.

Orange thongs otherwise?

The two fires, Airline and Eastern, are a long way from the Pinnacles, but are only at 50% each contained. The closest is near the junction of Hwy. 25 and Coalinga Road. Let's hope the fires do not go north.

The two fires are now 94% contained. I think Pinnacles is safe, but be careful with fire and objects capable of making sparks.

Spark it!  :yesnod: :arf:
