Title: Site not secure?
Post by: F4? on April 22, 2019, 04:00:35 PM
Is it true the site is not secure? According to Safari it’s not.

I see the message all the time.

Maybe Mr Mud is harvesting our personal information...

google search ya dingle.

nothing has changed about the fact that SMF forums don't typically run SSL for logins. that's why you don't use the same password for mud and crud as you do for your Wells Fuggo account.

No fun in doing that.

More fun busting Mud's nut's.

Once Supertopo is sold, the true value of this site will be seen.

Then Mr Mud can sell this site and retire....

Once Supertopo is sold

I think Chris will likely just turn it off completely.

With the election coming up and all of the interference in the last one who would want to be responsible for that forum if it continued to have political threads? Interesting that one of the specific types of copyrighted material he is asking to be removed is memes.

Imagine if we(the MOM's) had to live together. Mayhem.  :)  :devildevil:  :crying:  :nono:

As far as the scope of discussions on ST went, I was interested in what climbers did and thought as people, outside of pure climbing. I hope that the entire content of ST might be available for behavioral study, as it was the pioneering(exploration and exploitation) and wild west of the new land of "forums". Law, order and control are decided upon, bringing prohibition, disparity and censorship. Nutshellyanism

Trans-woman and 7 rabbits seek housing/garage to rent (concord / pleasant hill / martinez)

Greetings!

My name is Kylie and my rabbits are Shakespeare, Cleopatra, Circe, Appollonia, Frankenstien, Houdini, and Grayson-blue.

We are a happy little family.

I am a caregiver and work with all types of clients on the spectrum, as well as those in group homes.

I am neat and organized.

I like to keep areas clean and am the type to wash all dishes in the sink regardless if they are mine or not.

I am very easy going, and maintain a peaceful demeanour.

I work full time.

I hold many family values. The rabbits i own are all related except for the mom and dad. Shakespeare and Cleopatra.

I am ideally looking to rent a space for the rabbits and I to live together. A garage being the first choice.

Rabbits live longer inside and with the heat coming in sporadically they could die outside.

To provide you with security that my rabbits will not destroy your property and dwelling space i am willing to pay an extra 500$ pet security deposit.

We are looking to move in about a month or sooner.

I do not see SuperTopo as being a unique experiment, other sites have done the same perhaps not as prolific.  Cascade Climbers went through a similar upheaval a while back.  Now it is a moderated climbing forum.  I think SuperTopo will be around for a while, it will not be as prolific but it will stick around as more of a climber site.  What I find interesting is one of their admins participated in quite a few political discussions.   I personally do not think they will get sold, where is the value?  MTBR was bigger and never got sold.  MTBR solved the political problem for a while by creating a forum specifically for that purpose.  The problem is, politics on a recreation based forum just turns into an administrative shit show.  It gets worse when your admins get involved.

Clink, that is pure gold. I don’t want to know how you found that listing.

What is she thinking, rabbits have to chew on something!
They will eat your garage clean.

Maybe waive the $500 and get to have rabbit stew instead.

Yes, we can only all live together 2 nights a year at the campground.
Enough for me.

I think that ST is a part of what is a unique record. Would make an interesting study.
Your point of it being a recreational forum is good. I personally prefer the broader platform, but then I don't have the best balance.

We could give advice how to fix computers, Vans, etc.
Which reminds me there needs to be an "ask mr.mud" thread.
