There's so many new routes on the new route list now that it takes some time to scroll through all of them. Seems to be a fair amount of new folks using the site and interested in the new routes so I thought it would be cool to start a thread where people can post their top 10 favorites.
My top 10 includes a lot of routes that I worked on but I plan on climbing more of other people's routes this spring. Looking forward to climbing the routes at Spikes Peak, Old Man, Goat Rock, and Crud and Mud.
In no particular order.
1.Shade of Jade 5.8
2. OCD Overdrive 5.8
3. Sticky Monkey 11c
4. Up the Buttress 10.a
5.Pit Viper 10c
6. Chubby Rain 5.8
7.Shadows of Madness 10c
8. Muffin Top 5.9
9. Wizard's Wall 10a
10.Cutting the Rug 11a

Is OCD 5.7?
-
Does it seem like 5.7 to you?
-
Hood of the Cobra 5.7 was a really enjoyable new line.
-
Nah, it’s 5.8 , I have a terrible memory.
-
Hood of the Cobra is a cool route. Really unique rock formation. That Northwest Frontier is worth checking out. Full day of climbing there can combine with Marmot Rocks (The Heretic!) And or Yaks (when closures arent in effect of course)

I'm partial to Los Banditos.
Broke a hold on the mandory free section after the bolt ladder and took a solid 30 footer- my longest (leader) fall to date.
Alas, my partner was "scared" of the bolt ladder, and had little trouble convincing me to bail.
Can't wait to go back up there.

Damn, I hope that move is still 5.9.
It was freaky to commit.

Four Goats' Sake is fun - and a day spent simul-drilling to get it established was certainly a big part of it too.
