Title: indian rock rockfall
Post by: Crustanddust on October 03, 2021, 05:15:15 PM
There was a big rockfall on tree route on the eastern face of Indian rock, best to avoid that area, a friend of mine says the tree looks like it is about to fall out and there appears to be loose rock in the area still, heading up tomorrow afternoon to see if we cant clean it up a little more

I posted 3 of Coops pics in the Castle group on FB here...https://www.facebook.com/groups/182022258554981
and attached the two key pics here to this post.
Doesn't look like Krokus is really affected. Can't recall where the other line went. Maybe Coop has the details of if the existing lines were affected or not.

cave route and tree route where affected, cave route goes through a cave on the left and tree route finishes up and right through a notch, there where no bolts on either route and they where mostly guided on because of the 5.4 and 5.7 grades

Both routes there are a lot harder than they used to be and take less gear. The left variation is 5.8 and the right 5.7. Unfortunately the cruxes don't have decent gear protecting them so we added a single bolt at the top of each variation.

Seems reasonable. Thx
