I did it again - Climbed Flying None with five of my friends Chuck, Bruce, Eben, Sonia and Paul on October 17. Our ages are: two 50+, two 60+, one 70+, and one 80 year old. Chuck then lead Get Smart on sight. 3 of us top roped after him. We all had a great time! Three of us voted Flying None deserves 3 stars. Two thought it should be at least 2 and half starts. One said two stars. And whoever got on Get Smart all agreed "an absolutely 3 stars climbs"
My picture posting wasn't successful. I will have to try to post them separately.

Can’t wait to see how much an inch of rain has cleaned these two up.
-
BAP, I'm glad you found somebody older than me!
Brad, I think Pinns got more than an inch.

Great trip report! Alacia and I climbed The Flying None recently as well and agree it is an excellent climb - it's wonderful to have another high quality moderate multi-pitch route in the area. The FA team deserves a lot of credit for all that effort.
I'm also glad to hear everyone enjoyed Get Smart - it's definitely a top-notch climb. Alacia and I climbed that again as well and she agreed that it is a 3-star route for sure.

We went back to Pinnacles yesterday, and I red pointed Get Smart. What a fabulous climb! Absolutely a gem! Thank you Gavin and Brad!
Chuck then lead MI, rest of us followed. We all agreed the rock quality on GS is better than MI.
By the way, I did not have any trouble clipping bolts on GS, nor did I find any "out of reach" spot. Crux moves are well protected.

Damn, Gavin, we failed.

That's great to hear! Alacia had similar comments about the sequences and crux moves.

If that was the goal the route name should have been named Get Shorty.

I did it again
Thanks for finally posting something worthwhile.
I was ready to suggest the site be renamed Lame and Tame.

Welcome back John and Kathy!

Be nice John! Or you will come back as a midget in your life.

That was being nice.
More people would recognize the title too - not just a lame bunch of Boomers.
That reminds me...someone drove by when we were sitting out by our rig one evening in Oklahoma and yelled - BOOMERS!
-
Last year I had a young kid at work say "ok boomer" to me. He was sitting down so I took two steps toward him, looked down at him, said "thank you" and walked away.

topo?

I must say the 1st rap from the top works WAY better than the Coastanoan one.
CoastaN, bad, bad with rope drag.
