However, since we are talking Clint's TRs, I went perusing for fun (always good stuff in Clint's TRs)...found this...

"On Sunday I took Joel on a grand tour of Stanford bouldering.  No cop

hassles, and we worked on several problems, writing the ratings into my

developing guide."

emphasis mine.  hrm, haven't seen it in the underground. Bet only the Stanford Mtnrs have seen this gemstone. ;)

Title: Stanford buildering
Post by: Clint Cummins on January 23, 2007, 11:39:50 PM
Robert,  I did make a guide to buildering at Stanford, but I almost never distribute it.  In these days of sometimes paranoid security guards, and the free Stanfod climbing gym, nobody has been very interested in buildering there for awhile (except I think Brian Cox still builders there occasionally).

Speaking of Stanford builderers, I saw Jim Collins on PBS the other night!  Promoting his latest book Good to Great.  It included some shots of him boudering near Boulder, CO.  But mostly he was wearing a suit.

The police did allow it on the Art Gallery and Old Chemistry, but that deal was made about 20 years ago.  With the usual turnover in staff, I expect that deal is long forgotten.  So it's back to the usual approach of keeping a low profile and hoping that nobody notices.
