Post by: mungeclimber on January 01, 2023, 04:58:19 PM
Didn't see one... so here goes...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/2-earthquakes-reported-within-minutes-of-each-other-near-pinnacles-south-of-hollister/ar-AA15QSYm?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=6104e1aa3baa4e35b9466c48887c2b5d

Probably knocked Machete on its side.

Those magnitudes are barely worth mentioning unless you were on a route and felt it.
We've been at the base of machete (Destiny Wall) when there was a 4.0 and I didn't even feel the shaking. Kat said she felt it because she was sitting down. Another day we were out at The Knee and Onomatopoeia and we felt a jolt from another small quake but nothing after. Cochran and Caleb were climbing Blowing Chunks and I was working.

No self-respecting seismologist would even mention a 4.0 much less think it was news-worthy.  :nono: :out:
