Title: Table Mountain
Post by: Brad Young on May 03, 2007, 12:03:52 PM
So, Mudworm, I was quite surprised by your negative view of Table Mountain. You are so intelligent and such a capable climber, I guess I would have expected a more open view.

Is Table crowded? Yes, in some places, on weekends. Are there areas where the routes are all alike? Sure. But many areas, including the one Factor was refering to are quite unique and involve crack climbing/face climbing combinations.

I guess we all expected you to improve Mr Mud by "rubbing off" on him. Should we fear that the opposite is happening?

Why climb at Table Mountain when we have the Pins?   The Pins are closer and better.

Come and try a crack or two. You won't be sorry. Especially those at the Eastern Front.

I wonder if the Feral Rat can even do one of my climbs.....

??? I don't have a negative view of Table Mountain. If this was about, the other day in response to Factor's invitation to the Grotto, I said "I've quit gym," you have to realize that I do not dislike gym either. I just do not have time.  :(

See, usually, our Friday's conversion goes like this:
Mudworm:So, let's go ride this weekend.
Mr Mud: Okay, but we must go climb at the Pinnacles for one day, then I'll go ride with you the other day.

I did try to rub Pinnacles off him a little, but I guess that does not take us any closer to Sonora. Sorry, dude.

Good point. Obvious answer for me. Two reasons for you to climb there on occasion: 1. Variety. 2. To spend time with the Youngs up here. Thought Mudworm was trashing the place, which isn't the best in the world, but isn't bad.

Not freaks, but most of the regular posters there aren't interested in Table. Wonder why, it's got some whorthwhile stuff, and places where crowds aren't a factor, Factor.

Why, because deep down inside they are all deeply in love with the Pins.
