Thanks for sharing the info. Now I'm wondering if I should replace my in-good-condition-but-heavy tires.  I would do anything to make my bike lighter if I had the $$$.

I really like these tires.  Jeff turned me onto to them.  They really hook up for the type of terrain that is out in this area.  I just replaced my tires and I am thinking of buying a back up pair.

Delbomber, are you aware that there are two versions of these tires?

Search for "tpi" on this page: http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/Tire/product_23300.shtml

We ended up ordering from JensonUSA.

do they have these without the red firewalls?  I looked around and all I seem to find are with the red sidewall?

These tires are the best I have tried, this is my third pair this season, and finally, I have ones that I can rely on.  Before I felt like the front tire was going to wash out on me going around a corner, now...these babies stick!!!!
