For those of you into grass roots events, it's hard to go wrong here. Memorial day 12 Hr ride (solo, 2, 3, 4, etc catagories).For $55 you get a great ride and a BBQ meal too.

Hey,

From the Peninsula if you take the 505 you can make it (traffic not) in 4 hours to Redding and another hour to Weaverville.
