The Frog can be much worse if you get lost.  Torso ain't bad unless you come in from the wrong direction.  Trying to go straight between CrudnMud and the Frog can be quite time consuming.

OMG.....I bushwacked non-stop for hours getting to the Frog. Of course, getting back to the trail was easy. Why is it always like that???

Squiddo, that seems to be your standard operating proceedure> bushwack on the approach and take the trail back out...

Some things never change.

And I thought F4?'s personal best was successfully negotiating the 15 foot wide expressway to the base of Discovery Wall...

Worst I've done is the Frog to Crud and Mud (twice, once with Mr Mud and once with Dawson. You can always tell the right kind of person by their reaction to such an experience - Steve knew it was a hellacious bushwhack, but, his attitude was "big deal").

But, that trip is entirely optional in that there are easier ways to get to Crud and Mud - in both cases we were too lazy to walk the long way.

Toughest bushwhack that you have to do to get to a climb (ie there isn't an easier way) is to Rare Ice. All the way to Squareblock Rock, plus another couple hundred feet. I've done this one twice, and out to Squareblock three other times, for a total of five (last time my dad went with me - the crashing was so bad that dad - age 72 - nicely told me that he didn't want to do such brush again. He had scratches that were bad enough that he knew his skin wouldn't heal soon, and he had brushed off enough ticks that he was worried he's get one of their diseases, which isn't good at that age.)

Sheez, tough crowd.

I'm just trying to humor folks.

Come on, who hasn't wished for a pair of clippers to lop off a branch of two.

Squiddo, I speak with experience. For some reason we always bushwack our way to the crag and then take the trail back.

Factor....No denying the truth. I need to wear a compass around my neck.

All I have to say is bring clippers or better yet a gas powered hedge trimmer...

The hardest bushwhack I've had to do was finding the damn ticks tucked away in my pubes.

Sorry, sorry, I just can't help myself. Lowering the bar is the only thing I'm good at...
