Title: 1:20 to the Pinns?
Post by: mungeclimber on October 26, 2005, 10:18:27 PM
JL,

How fast is that though?  Basic speed law fast?  Or "cruiser" fast?

I think I'm about 2 or so here in SJ.  I'm not sure I've ever really timed it.

Sometimes though it feels like West Side is closer, not sure why.  When the fog rolls in though, everything grinds to a halt there in Prunedale (sp?).

btw, you still up for six pitches?

Cheers,

Speed limit fast. 90 miles, about 40 of it is 70mph speed limit. The rest is 55. Sometimes, it takes me 1:30. The west is about the same for me as the east. Is H&L open yet? Last I heard it was the victim of a raptor closure.

BTW, you can get there much faster in one of these.

December or January?  I always forget.

I wonder if I couldn't get Amy Fesnock to talk to Adam up on SPH about raptor issues.  Seems the pinns program is a good model, based upon actually nesting rather than unilateral vol closures on designated rock.

I thought SPH was ok.  Way better than the Yosemite.  Link closes shit that does not even have a Raptor on it.

Kind of on this subject...I was irritated that PNM basically blew off public input on the wild pig eradication program. I wrote a long treatise on the best way to get rid of them after the fence was completed(I lived in the park as I was growing up, worked near the park for 5 years, and I hunt pigs). I never heard back from them and to this day I don't know what they did to get rid of the pigs or if they have gotten rid of them. Anybody know?
