What, are you trying to confuse me?   I thought I had my mind made up already. LOL

Just put the check in the mail today. Unfortunately, Dave' Speed Dream is in the middle of moving to Colorado, so the order will not be ready until around July 6.  Can't wait to get my custom build wheels.

mudworm got
DT Swiss Hubs

Pretty Dam light and fairly strong.

Nice choice.....I've heard nothing but good things about the DT product line and considered it. I ended up with CK hubs, Mavic 717 rims, DT DT Comp Spokes and Alloy Nipples.

The allow nipples surprised me a bit.  I talked to him about that a bit.  I have heard people complain about them, stating that brass is the way to go.  He said that was true for heavy duty downhill wheels only.  As far as alloy goes Dave said the only concern was to make sure that they are anodized since those always held up.  That was new to me.

Yes I hear you I've heard the same. I'm a mid-weight XC rider (170 lbs with a pack)and not a huckster. Still though Allow nips are all I've had on 5 wheel sets. I've only broken a nipple once and I still think it would have broken regardless of the material. It's surprising how much weight you can save there and more importantly is that its rotational weight.
