There once was a young man named Ubber
Who drove to the mountains in his Suber
He reached for a cam
But instead got a yam
And he said, "My god, how did I get such a tuber?"

There once was a guy named FactorFour
Who thought he was really hardcore
After popping a nut
And falling on his butt
He screamed, "I don't wanna do this anymore!"

Are you implying I'm soft?

Well it's heading that way. I keep climbing with Squiddo.

More limericks!

There once was a feral rat
Mean as snake and mad as a hat
But when he was pleased
He'd drop to his knees
And begin to meow like a cat!

How about this one?

There once was a young man named Munge
Who only climbed routes filled with grunge
When asked, "What's all the fuss
With all of this muss?"
He replied, "My purpose in life is to expunge!"

One more and then back to work...

There once was a chap named Brad
Who was old enough to be my dad
But said this ol' sage
"Despite my old age
I'll still kick your ass in trad!"

There once was a young man named Lane,
Who acted and looked like a pain,

He snatched from the air,
the man with red hair,

And stopped him from dying in vain.

(That's it, you'll never see anlther of these stupid things from me.)

No rhymes from me...  Though if any of you folks are interested in helping out, I have an old project on the Balconnies that I'm pysched to work on (and finish...) this season.  Pitch one is done and two bolts up on pitch two.  I even have a carpeted belay board for standing or sitting comfort at the first hanging belay.  I'll take the next bolting stance (it has a lousy fall speaking from experience), but any airtime above is steep and clean.

This weekend came work. I'd be down for heading to the Pinns.

A project at the balconies....I've been on one of your projects before, Pipeloads was it? Brad put a 2nd bolt by the last and it's one pitch.

Anyone remember when the Muds come back? I remember something about picking them up, but it's blurry after that.

This one is for you, Mama Salsa...

There once was a lovely woman named Vick
Who stood by her man through thin and thick
Upon asking the climber's wife
If she feared for her husband's life
If ever his footing did not stick?
She replied, "Let me be curt,
For if he ever got hurt
I would f@#king murder that prick!"

Jim, sounds tempting, but this weekend I need to log some mileage, rock mileage, not air mileage. :)

Just have to see if I have two days or one first though.

Uber, you only have the one day right?

Munge, you want to do the west side? Sunday?

I'd like to do Rock around the Clock. You do need aiders.

I got a call from Mr Mud, so they are back.

Yep, ya friggin Pukes I am back.  I do not know about climbin though.  Probably need to unpack and do some stuff around the house.  Plus since I am now one month out from my ankle fracture so I probably will not climb for a bit yet.  The ankle is still fairly sore for whatever reason.  The foot message that mudworm's sister got for us, while we were in Shanghia,  really seemed to help and I did not scream till the end.  I am walking now but not much more.

You are the designated beer sherpa then.

Ask mudworm about BBQ dinner on Saturday.

Urgh...Jim, not really into the drilling thing at the moment. I want to do something novel this season and actually climb established routes.  ;D

However, I will gladly help you with drill, hook, and belay duty on a misty December day this winter (or climb some of your classics with you on a sunny day!).

There's a contingent heading to the Valley this weekend. I may hop on that train and head up Saturday night.

U driving?

East or West side?

I could drive...

Why?

Do I need a reason? It's been a while, and the new guidebook sitting next to me is acting as motivation at the moment...
