26th is pretty much it for me now.
Just learned mom goes in for biopsy the 26th, so has to drive back down on the 25th.
talked to Evan today and he was up for something on the 23rd or 24th, but I will probably beg out of that to hang with fam at this point.
-
X-Mas Eve, morning trip to the Pinns? Or the 23rd?
I'm out for the 26th. We're driving down that day to Solvang to see my grandma.
-
can't do a full day
thinking beers and bouldering
morning of the 22nd would be good, but not sure when Sal is coming into town that day.

Beers in the morning? That might be fun... I might be in Santa Cruz the evening before that. So I may be a little hungover depending on how that goes...
Also, Castle may not be in condition until Sunday or Monday depending on when the rain stops.

conditions are always prime for the Super Dank problem (a real problem, not any other kind of reference).
-
Right...

Santa won't be needing his snow boots, but he'd better throw on a rain jacket when he mounts that sleigh on Christmas Eve and heads for the Bay Area, weather forecasters said Tuesday.
Storms have been blowing through the Bay Area since Sunday night, and they're expected to keep coming over the next week, according to the National Weather Service.
The wet stuff should let up Friday, just in time for the first official day of winter, but expect the brief sunny respite to give way to new drenchings again the next day, weather service forecaster Steve Anderson said.

Worse case, just beers and no climbing. I can always put on the Eiger Sanction. ;D

oh bummer, ok. Can't do Sunday 23rd. I'll try and ring about the Valley if you're interested.
would love to hike Sky to Sea, but prolly can't keep up with you especially after about mile 8 or 9.

I am in terrible shape and really should not attempt such a crazy ass stunt. However those thoughts have not stopped me from trying yet. I am in. You may have to wait for me fairly often and I will bring a cell just on case I bonk around mile .3.
If you prefer not to have the excess burden so that you have a higher probability of success let me know and I will just buy you beer when you are done.
-
sweet. i havent cleared it with the better half yet. i think its only about 25 miles or so. mostly downhill. take it nice and easy, maybe 5-6 hours?

The time that I ran that trail, I ended up with a pulled quad down around Sunrise Camp. After wrapping it tight with an ace bandage, I was able to hobble the rest of the way...
I am actually planning to do that again some time this winter or spring with Ted and Evan and some other peeps. But probably walking, and most likely as an all-nighter... :)
