Here's one from the prologue of the Tour of California. Taken February 17, 2008 on Palm Drive at Stanford... :)

Nice photo. For some reason, the word "alien" pops up in my mind when I see a picture like that -- the bike setup, the clothing, and the speed... everything looks just unreal.

I have to say that I do like Astana's colors. They look pretty damned good going by at 35 MPH...

This morning, it rained cats and dogs in Santa Cruz Hills, and even hailed for five minutes or so. It seems to be more mellow near the bay, but still it's wet. Poor ToC riders. I'm sure it would have been more fun if the weather had been nice.
The weird thing was I encountered three separate cyclists while driving on 84 in that pouring rain. They must be super inspired or something.

I can't speak for Mount Hamilton, but it was beautiful up at the top of Sierra... :)

PR?
Thought you were going to Hamilton to watch the tour. Couldn't resist the calling of Sierra Road, eh? ;)

Nah, I went freakin' slow today... I felt like crap, and there were tons of people on the road. My time was in the 35:20 range.
But it was fun. I ran into an old friend up there, and took tons of pictures. I'll get some uploaded soon...

It has to be hard on a double.
Looking forward to more alien pictures. :)
