Uber is out, good op to jump his line.
-
Wouldn't be the 1st route he didn't finish... ;D
-
That spin class must have really gotten to him.
-
hahaha, well I'm looking forward to Pinns actually. Should be fun with Jake and crew.
What time on Sunday are you heading down? I'm expecting an emergency issue tomorrow at work. Upside is I'm buying a bike. Way too much. Expect to use it.
Do we know where Jake and fam will be climbing?
-
I will most likely go down Sunday. Congrats on the bike, lets go for a ride.
-
So Munge,
With the bike are you getting new lycra?
Okay, I get to work today and climb tomorrow.
What time tomorrow are we meeting?
I think we were going to start at Discovery wall.
-
? I'm lost. I thought you guys went today? I'm hesitant to go down tomorrow. Some stuff has come up at work.
RB
-good news, I can ride.
-

sweet, got the digits locked in.
after work rides? What's the nearest easy riding?
-
Arastradero Open Space is close and Easy (Page Mill Rd at 280). Fremont Older is also worthy.
Otherwise if I've got time Skeggs is amazing (though more challanging).
-
Yep Arastradero and Fremont Older. Arastradero is probably the best for a start.
-
aeee, Arastradero... It feels so easy there that you just want to go faster and faster, and even throw in a bunny hop here and there... next thing you know, you've lost control. -- That's what happened to my worst crash on my mountain bike, which sent me to my only visit to the ER. Just a word of caution there.
It's indeed a good place for getting the new bike broken in.
-
i think i've ridden Fremont on the hard frame. sucked some wind at the start right? then up above it is more fun?

Back to the original topic -- climbing at Pinns.
The day started out dicey -- cloudy, gusty, with occasional drizzles. In the afternoon, there was more sun and it warmed up a little. Finally, the day ended being spectacular.
F4, Mud, and I were joined by the Landshark family at Discovery Wall. In the morning, we were almost ready to call it a day after Wet Kiss and Big Pucker, but as the day went on, we assaulted Between a Rock and a Hard Place, Verdict, Pistol Wipped, Broken Arrow, Here Comes the Judge, Buffalo Soldier. I did all of them on TR :-[, but then it was the first time I got on the four underscored climbs today, which made it all special. All these climbs are CLASSIC!
A party was held at F4's place afterwards. Happy B-Day, Landshark!
(P.S. Munge, Yes, that's Fremont Old.)
