Title: In Need of an old Static line
Post by: F4? on August 16, 2008, 07:13:00 PM
I need to get my hands on an old static line.

Anybody?

I need to cut it into smaller strips that can become straps for a 1/2 ton grape bin.

I'd use an old rope, but wonder if static is better.

Fire away.

F4, I asked mud, he has always hauled with an old climbing rope, so he doesn't have one you are looking for. Sorry.

Before reading, I thought it had something to do with James.

nah, it's too stiff to be functionally useful, unless it's a logistics line. no good for walls.

I have owned a couple of bluewater ropes.  They seem to work fine it seems to depend on the model.  I think the dry ropes are better.
