for Joshua Tree is looking really good.
everywhere else is the suk
-
"Suk?" Maybe and maybe not. Don't forget those of your friends who live on the mountain, in the forest. Friends who are always very anxious this time of year for that first storm; a storm to dampen things and end the extreme fire danger. Good for us, isn't it?
-
for sure, but this is a climbing forum. we need to stay on topic. ;)
ps - drinking water for Miwok (the climber) is probably a good thing too.
-
Firewood's stacked and covered. Kindling is shopped and ready. Burn piles are tarped, waiting for snow (not this storm). Ready to enjoy a weekend with the family at home, doing all the family stuff.
Hey, Dennis, I demand that you change your last name. It's cumbersome on this forum writing storm. Half the time I type it wrong.

stom
Maybe Dennis E. Mud

This is the time to go! The cliffs will be empty, just bring a thermos of hot chili (as Factor suggested to me a couple weeks ago after a chilly morning at pinns). Yum!
Time to wax up the skis, does anyone else here tele ski? (sorry off topic, and posted on the wrong board)

Not approved. I just spend $30+ on his last name.
Royal Robbins Mr Mud Hemp Shirt (http://www.6pm.com/n/p/p/7304128/c/5135.html)

I ordered the shirt in storm color. :D
-
i dont think the pizza factory is that good. seemed over priced last time there.
-
Mudworm, who says you get a say? And did you get me one of those shirts too? I move that Mudworm get one of those shirts for each Master of Mud. Is there a second?

Well, I might not get a say, but I had to PAY! Of course I'll order one for each of you who change your last name to Mr Mud. Now, how bad do you want the shirt? ;)
-
Am I obstinate and mean enough to qualify for the last name Mr Mud? I'd sure like one of those shirts.
-
Is that a rhetorical question ???
Oh, BTW, you might still have a slim chance to have it even if you are not "obstinate and mean enough." When I placed the order, they didn't have Medium and I had to order Large. Now the shirt is sitting on my desk. Man, it looks ...erh...large.
-
Thanks!
-
If he wears that shirt, he is a step away from playing in a drum circle.
-
After I looked up "drum circle" on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drum_circle), I still don't get the joke. I'll have to ask Mud about it when I get home. I should remember to bring the shirt home with me today.
-
It means he is a hippy. A hemp wearing one at that:-)
-
What's wrong with Drum circles?
-
Nothing. Hippy:-)
Anyone watch South Park....that show kills me. My favorite episode still include Cartman's dream on Hippies.
-
I have seen one or two shows.

You will respect my AUTHORITAH!

Nothing. Hippy:-)
He does have a beard and used to have long hair.
-
Not a hippy.
Just a Bum.
-
Mr Mud is not a hippy! He is actually an eclectic blend of the best of two worlds: the good values taken from the hippy/counterculture movement, combined with the little bit of good available from the young college republican type. Quite the unique blend, and his case, well aged.
-
You forgot the inbred redneck part. Or, perhaps that was left out intentionally.
-
No, the inbred part has been mostly refined out, or into the young republican model. Very strong convictions on certain issues, combined with a semi-puzzled, wonderment; an inability to understand why everyone in the world doesn't share those beliefs, which are just so... obviously right. Twenty years living in the Gray Area will do that.
Combined too with huge amounts of patience, brotherly love and goodwill from the hippy side. A strange blend indeed.

Ok well I guess the only possible reply is
