I was curious to see how my ride would go today. I haven't done much riding over the last few weeks as I was training for, then recovering from my 1st Ultramarathon. Starting last week, I had begun to ride again. I only rode twice last week and 2 shorter sessions earlier this week. I decided this weekend was going to be my first decent day in the saddle.
It rained hard yesterday and last night, so I was a little worried about the road conditions, but they were mostly dry with only a few sections with any amount of standing water. The wind was the usual conditions out in the flats, nothing horrific, ~10 mph from SW. The wind direction didn't pair well with my usual flat ride course since it is a predominately West to East out and back (Vacaville to Davis). So I expected a fast "out" and a bit more slower in.
I won't complain about the performance though. See the stats HERE (http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/episode/view.do?episodePk.pkValue=7084080)
Mission Accomplished: >21 mph ave

Nice. Now, will we see you at the next Low Key (http://www.lowkeyhillclimbs.com)? :)

I can't do next weekends, but maybe the one after. Next weekend is my daughter's X-country teams parent race. Got to defend my title! :)
