Title: Add the Wrench to the Rack!
Post by: MUCCI on December 29, 2008, 01:01:45 PM
Tightened the #2 Bolt on Thrill Hammer on Saturday, Which was very, very Loose!  I can't think how many times I needed a wrench and settled on "finger tight".

Is that bolt a stud type bolt?  If so I have some locktite.  Even if it is a Rawl it may be possible to pull the bolt locktite the end and put it back in.

3/8 stud probably a wedge, that bolt sees alot of work as that is the crux of the climb.  I have seen many people fall and hang there so the bolt could use a bit of spooge.  Also the nut is partially stripped so a new one might be in order (Pre-spooge) of course!

Does not sound good.  Thank you for the info.  I will ask around and see about a glue in.  It is either that or a 1/2" bolt.

If that is a stud type bolt then it is most likely a wedge.  Not to many split shaft bolts out there,  a few but not many.
