It was a great weekend (although a little hot).

I didn't take any photos of the climbing. But we started the weekend Thursday evening by going up to Sonora Pass with fresh sandwiches for PCT through-hikers (we were trail angels). We took Cassy and Serene Gruenther with us. We had a great time (we did find through-hikers who were incredulous and so happy to get fresh - FRESH - sandwiches after having just passed the 1,000 mile mark that day).

We had a great time. And we are so looking forward to having Cassy, and 1 1/2 year old Serene spend more time with us (and Tricia and Serene had a great time together, which will make it easier to get Serene used to camping and hiking).

And some long pants.

From the pic of you in that chimney, the chin/tailbone technique can be employed in lieu of pants.

 Sorry I missed it.

But a 70m rope weighs so much....why not put a couple belay bolts in for a 50m rope.

Some folks are OW noobs... pants are required for those folks to keep the cracks pristine for us pantless ODubers.

This photo of Bob on Cathedral Peak is too good not to post (with his permission). Although he didn't do it over July 4th, he did it close to then, so it seems to fit in this thread:

Is he smiling because there's a beer in his pocket?

I wish I'd had a beer in my pocket, Tecate by flavor.
