The empty lot next door went up for sale while we were up at the Pass climbing this week.
It has been vacant since before we bought our house(almost 20 years ago).
Sotheby's International Realty - not showing on their website yet - sign must have just been erected.
-
You had an erection next door? TMI? ;D
-
See what happens when you go to the pass.
-
More importantly, are you going to buy it or buy in TuCo?
Hint there is only one right answer and it rhymes with To All of Me.

I'll sleep on the porch.

I doubt I'd sleep at all thinking about someone with a torch :yikes: :out:

Nothing beats Santa Cruz.

Nothing beats Santa Cruz.
At some point that was probably true. Since that dirt will probably sell for more than $500k...I don't think that statement stands anymore.
-
The other house next to us may go on the market soon (this time it's the one to the right when heading down the driveway).
They're finally repairing the roof that got crunched by the falling tree in January (bad enough that trusses have to be re-engineered).
Meanwhile, the owner has had a stroke.
The contractor thinks she wants to sell it as soon as possible after the repairs are made. He's thinking about buying it from her and then flipping it. So yeah, that Tuolumne County thing might work out for one of you. You'd be getting pretty cool neighbors too. And all for a lot less than $500,000.00 (no way could a lot that small go for that... even in Santa Cruz, could it?).
-
Paradise maybe lost, but Santa Cruz does have a special place in my heart.
Now for us to move up there, folks would be warned...Lucas is a Dennis the Menence.
HEY MR Wilson!!!!!!
-
The lot next to us (on the other side) sold for 200K when we bought our house 19 years ago.
I still don't see anything on the Sotheby website but they may not list lots.
There are a couple of beach mansions in the almost 5 million dollar range and a 968K condo at Seascape.
Totally affordable for youngsters like briham.

Sigh :nonod:

Sotheby's International Realty = $$$!!
Could easily list for half a mil.
Cray
But good for your home value! :)
-
There is always Felton or Empire Grade!
Ft Bragg is a bit what SC must have been like a long time ago.
Just 0 jobs. And a little remote.
We are stuck in Sunnyvale, for now, until the boys get jobs.
-
Hey JC...here is a wild idea....The lot gets built next to you. Someone moves in.
And they have a Uni-cycle.
Your uni-cycle would then have a buddy!
Clink could marry them to form.....a bicycle.
Had I some $$ I'd buy the lot next to you.
-
If you bought the lot JC could ride the unicycle and you could ride your bicycle and hold hands. Then it would be like you having a sidecar! :puke:
-
:-*

Ha!

Devo is from my hometown (Akron, Ohio) - although I was a damn yankee in the 80's  :out:

This is California!! Santa Cruz’s had a few good musicians make it big.
I think.
And this needs to be a Rocking the Free Worls Free forum!
-
Can't think of any iconic musicians from there. Now the Bay area on the other hand......

Hell, that's pocket change for you and Kat. It'll make a fine, fine storage area for all the old bolting crap you've pulled (and then replaced).

I wish.
I've heard that guidebook authors make some nice bank.
You should buy it for a parking spot and a Pinnacles home away from home.
It'll pay for itself over the next few years in drive time and gas.

plus he can take up surfing

Build the house out of guidebooks....he has enough of them...

Nah. Breathing that thick, sea-level air leads to added brains. I couldn't do it like you guys do.

There. I fixed it for you.

^^^
See. I've already spent way too much time down there.
-
299? That must mean it has no easement to get on and off the property for that price.
-
Nope, it's the extra year and $250,000+ you get to spend dealing with Santa Cruz county added to your building costs
-
Finally met the new owner today.
They will likely break ground sometime this summer. The county is starting to look at permits again.
He said they were originally thinking about building and selling right away but with all that has been happening they may occupy the new house for a while and then sell when the market is better.
Looks like it will be a 2 level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with garage.

Well Jenny found a nice house up off highland road, on the SC side.
It's tempting to go to a country life style.
The place needs a new kitchen and barn/ workshop.
Just $1.5m for 2 acres.
25470 Adams Rd
I'd need a dog, chickens and Klink to visit.

Highland Way? That whole damn road is one big landslide waiting to happen! It follows the trace of the San Andreas more closely than hwy 25. I used to take field trips up there to map the ginormous failures. :yikes: :eeeek: :arf:
-
Ha! I thought that the features looked odd. The place is on Adams road and flat.
Yes highland as seen a few slides.
