Follwing in the Footsteps of Legends
« on: October 23, 2011, 08:50:13 AM »
I thought some of the folk on here might be interested in checking out The ZAP Project blog. I just wrote a trip report about a fun day following Doug Robinson around on Smoke's Rock Course at The Buttermilk.  For those of you that don't know about the ZAP project, this a memorial for our friend Zachary Parke, who was killed earlier this year in a tragic hit and run bicycle accident. Zach was a promising young and creative individual, and he still has the only known ascent of Mitten's and I's route Miscegenation. Take a moment a check it out, many cool trip reports have been popping up.

Very nice. You are actually honoring your friend, here's an example of how: I never knew Zach, but I read your trip report I wondered about him - who he was and what he did and liked. What he hoped to do.

I was talking with Doug yesterday and we brought up the idea of maybe having a rock course on the Thanksgiving week. If Doug can't do it I know the first half now and the second half is less complicated, plus Leonie knows it. Any interest? It's a super fun day.

oh wow, yeah, I would ordinarily love to. We were thinking of Alabama Hills potentially.  Just need to figure out if this works for us (me and mrs. munge) this year.
