Whatever floats your Goat
« on: November 10, 2014, 07:20:46 AM »
Out Saturday with Brad, Kat, Tricia and Rosie for some shepherding.
We all climbed pitch 1 of Lonely Sheepherder and then diverged on to Forgettable Ewe.
Kat and Rosie went to Andy's Sunset, while Brad and I went Up a Crook Without a Paddle.
Brad did a spectacular job of route finding and leading.

Brad susses out the route - JC belays from the Piece of Ewe pitch 2 anchor up and right (can't be seen)

JC follows the route

Brad and JC after a harrowing lead - nice job Brad!

Do you remember Mud when you and I did Piece of Ewe? I've never forgotten the long-ass runouts on damp rock with crappy 1/4 inch rustier than hell "bolts."  I can't think of any partner Ida rather had on that one! It gave "5.7" a whole new meaning.

Bruce and Clint did a great job with the rebolting.

Yep, sure do and thank you.  The kudo is appreciated.  That was a good day and I am glad we went out there together.  Good hike out as well.

Perhaps we can get out and climb together this year.  It will have to be very easy and you will have to be the rope gun.
