Don't drag that toe Jean :) Toe pick!
Looks like the water is shallow and the ice is smooth as glass.
I love to skate. Wish I could join you guys.
Have a nice holiday :)

JC, you got skates?

We may go skating this weekend at Sharks ice. Let's roll.

Adam, those are fish under the ice, yes?

I miss the East Side of the Sierra while I'm loving the East Side.

Yup those are Brookies under the ice. That was the inlet of the lake so it wasn't in the skating zone. Otherwise we tested the lake, with an ice screw, to be a pretty consistent 5"-6" deep, which is strong enough to support a car. It was still making some really crazy groaning and shooting sounds almost like when you get points in a video game.

Missing all you guys... but there is lots of good happening over here. I have a new job working at the newly opened Mountain rambler Brewery in Bishop. Ribs are still hurt, but I spend everyday exploring the mountains. Its really nice to drive down my street (the last street in town) and make a right turn and in 20 mins I'm at 9,000 feet into heaven.

Sounds real nice.  I have a server room that I can go to anytime.  Hope to see you at the pins again sometime.

That is cool. Geoff and I climbed Bear Creek Spire last year. It is beautiful country and the changes in elevation from high desert to High Sierra is wonderful.
Happy exploring!
