Brad, are you here?
« on: October 23, 2006, 10:45:59 AM »
Brad,

We have to make a decision today about our insurance because the coverage on two of our vehicles is expiring tomorrow (a good time to change the insurance carrier).  But I have a couple of questions to ask you before we make the final decision.  Can you call me when you get a chance? Here is my number: 6 5 0 - 2 2 4 - 8 9 9 7. Thank you.

Um..em...Hi, C, :)

Thanks for the kind offer.

When we bought our house, we got homeowner insurance from Farmers.  Their premium was low which was just what we needed at closing.  But after two months, they decided upon a post inspection that they would cancle our policy soon because they wouldn't accept our roofing.  I was just in the process of consolidating our auto policies into Farmers.  :x

We learned from Brad and reading on the Internet that some insurance companies have better reputation than others. Since we are doing this all over again (home and auto), I want to be careful with our choice.  Now, I have four quotes from 1) State Farm, 2) CSAA, 3) Pacific Property and Casualty Company (quoted by the same agent who does insurance for our neighbor and La Honda Guild), and 4) Liberty Mutual (Oracle has group discount) -- in the descending order of totol premium (home+auto), with a difference of ~$2000/year between the highest and lowest.  I'm lost among choices.

Mudworm...too smart lumping all that together. Having a multi policy saved me some big coin. I wouldn't go without either renters and/or homeowners...peace of mind is priceless.

Also, I just had a beer in your neck of the woods on Sunday...Applejacks is a rocking time.

Gilbert (of course I know who C is) gave us big Marv's input, Squiddo emphasized on multi-policy, and Brad, after a long stressful day, spent half an hour with me on the phone.  Those were all good advice, guys. I'm deeply touched. Thank you.

Is that because you guys don't want see Mr Mud be homeless again?  :)

No, we're predicting that he'll cause ample amounts of damage and want to make sure you are covered.
